GameMarket Fair Fairy
GameSpot GameMarket cuts out the middle man and connects gamers directly to buy and sell their games.
To demonstrate this, we created the Fair Fairy: an eccentric little lady who flits around and uses everything in her power to unite buyers and sellers. Everything that is, except magic. Because being the fairest in the land doesn’t take magic.
Full campaign included animated banners, video, print, and a RAP! Be sure to check out the Fair Fairy Rap underneath the banners.
The Fair Fairy Rap (Channeling Fresh Prince of Bel-Air)
There once was a fairy in Young Fairy Nook
who wouldn’t give her wand a second look.
Third person shooters are what made her go squee.
By three she’d perfected the magic of wii.
Her Godparents muttered, “Oh my what a shame.
This one’s addicted to video games.”
Her friends went to school and learned bibbity boo.
While day in and day out she was glued to the tube.
When it came time for graduation day,
They were all tested on their fairy forte.
Some had perfected the art of disguise,
transforming themselves into spry fireflies.
Some could slip silently under a sheet.
Those would be chosen to regulate teeth.
Some joined hands in circles of threes
And danced in the moonlight protecting the trees.
Some had mastered the art of pixie dust.
And some at seducing a great pirate’s lust.
When it was her turn to show off her skills,
The thought crossed her mind she should run for the hills.
Then with a flourish she swallowed her pride and proclaimed,
“There is no greater magic than video games.”
She knew that her craft was to fight for what’s right.
Connecting buyers with sellers at the fairest price.
Slaying middlemen and sheisters and big warehouse stores.
They’re just in in for money, no better than whores.
She bid Fairy Land a fond final adieu
Vowing nobody’d wait in a line to get screwed.
She came to GameMarket and scored her first gig.
She’s our favorite employee. The one we all dig.
If you’re buying or selling a video game,
At GameMarket fair’s fair in the Fair Fairy’s name.
